Certified Medical Assistant (Non-Exempt)

Position : Certified Medical Assistant, Mercy Clinic Southeast Community Department : Rheumatology Clinic Shift : Full-Time (40 Hrs. Week) Days We’re a Little Different Our mission is clear. Job Description :

• Vital Signs
• Instrument maintenance and prep
• Stocking exam rooms
• Perform Point-of-Care testing
• Documentation (health history, phone encounters, etc.)
• Scanning (new patient and disability paperwork, immunization records, etc.)
• Follow Protected Health Information Policy and OSHA standards
• Complete specialty specific rooming requirements
• Medication reconciliation
• Applicable only in Primary Care : Complete Advanced Standard Rooming
• Additional duties as assigned Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : Education :
• High School Diploma or equivalent Certification(s) :
• Must actively maintain MA certification Preferred Qualifications : Experience :
• 1 year of applicable patient care experience or applicable medical office experience as defined by clinic Physical Requirements :
• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and / or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
