HUMAN & VETERINARY ULTRASOUND – Massachusetts (Cape Cod to Metrowest & Needham)

Are you a registered abdominal sonographer looking for a unique opportunity to expand your expertise? Pet Animal Ultrasound (PAUS), now part of NAVIX Diagnostix, is searching for a dedicated professional to join our team.

This opportunity can be part-time or full-time depending on your interests :

Part-time : For candidates who prefer to focus solely on veterinary abdominal ultrasound.

Full-time : For candidates who want to combine mobile veterinary ultrasound services with human general ultrasound shifts at our Needham, MA location.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RDMS (AB) sonographer to receive specialized training in veterinary imaging while continuing (if desired) to practice human ultrasound. You’ll broaden your skills, strengthen your career path, and be part of a team that values both human and animal diagnostics.

Responsibilities

Veterinary (Mobile) :

Perform abdominal ultrasound exams on small animals at veterinary hospitals and clinics.

Travel to client locations across Cape Cod, Greater Boston, and Metrowest areas.

Work collaboratively with veterinarians and their teams to ensure accurate and compassionate patient care.

Receive hands-on training to adapt human sonography skills to veterinary applications.

Human (Needham, MA – Day Hours, for full-time option) :

Conduct general diagnostic ultrasound exams according to NAVIX protocols.

Select appropriate transducers and imaging protocols for each patient.

Review patient history, produce high-quality images, and provide interpreting physicians with accurate technical findings.

Maintain equipment and uphold NAVIX’s standards of patient safety and care.

Qualifications

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with Abdomen (AB) specialty (Required).

Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.

1–2 years of diagnostic ultrasound experience (mobile or veterinary preferred).

Passion for animal care and excitement to learn veterinary ultrasound applications.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently in both mobile and clinic settings.

Willingness and ability to travel regularly across the Cape Cod to Metrowest MA & Needham MA area.
