Job descriptionEnsure compliance with federal poultry, sanitation and HACCP regulations. Act as liaison between FSIS and facility. Assist in maintenance of food safety systems, including but not limited to HACCP, SSOPs and prerequisite programs. Maintain record keeping systems, tracking food safety data. Review documented corrective actions and preventive measures for SSOPs and HACCP programs, ensuring intentions of regulatory requirements are met. Collect data and information responding to USDA non-compliances. Develop and deliver food safety training courses propagating a healthy food safety system. Provide direction to QA regarding regulatory matters. All other relevant tasks as needed. Bachelor of Science degree in Poultry, Animal, Food Science or other closely related field preferred. Excellent quality assurance and regulatory experience. Food manufacturing experience, preferably within poultry industry. HACCP Certification from an approved HACCP Alliance Institution required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
