Coordinator, Special Initiatives
The Coordinator, Special Initiatives role will support the Vice President of Special Initiatives and International Relationships with their work on the foundation's archives project, grant management and ad hoc projects as they arise from the Office of the President.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, and strong written and verbal communication skills. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The coordinator should be comfortable working independently on projects and must be able to work under pressure and handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. This position requires a willingness to handle administrative tasks, such as scheduling and submitting expense reports, as well as conducting research, drafting documents, and preparing analytical reports.

Archives Project
The Archives Team is responsible for developing procedures to archive records, training program managers and coordinators, directing the work of additional consultants, and managing the relationship with the Rockefeller Archive Center. (RAC). The Archives Team is responsible for providing an annual report to leadership on archiving activities.
The coordinator will join and support the responsibilities of the Archives Committee which also includes the VP, a senior manager from the Flatiron Institute, a senior administrator from the foundation, and an archives consultant, as needed. Archives Project responsibilities include :
