Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 2 years of acute care experience and an active PT license for an acute care position.
Responsibilities
Work in an acute care setting treating patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic, and physically-related disordersService includes a variety of therapeutic interventions such as ADL retraining, manual therapy, therapeutic activities, aquatic therapy, and neuromuscular re-educationPatient population comprises those requiring strengthening, modalities, training in daily living activities, and other rehabilitative therapiesWork standard 8-hour day shifts with required flexibility for weekends and holidaysFloating to other areas or sites may be required based on staffing needsEpic EMR is used for documentationResponsibilities include patient education in home safety, use of adaptive equipment, and compensatory techniquesParticipate in documentation, program development, teaching, and enhancement of clinical skills12 hours of orientation are provided and clinicians must be in-state for orientation, even if first-day modules are remoteCurrent employees or those employed in the past year at a related facility are not eligibleMust reside at least 60 miles from the facility based on the address on driver’s licenseScrub or professional dress code may be required; verify at assignmentWeekend and holiday coverage as neededRequirements
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Physical Therapist, with preference for direct care experience in outpatient, inpatient, or rehab unitsCurrent BLS certification is requiredActive state or Compact (NLC) Physical Therapist license required at the time of consideration; pending licenses are not acceptedCopy of driver's license must be providedLicense required if applicableDry Needling Certification or education required only if performing dry needlingFamiliarity with electronic medical records, preferably EpicTwo professional references : one supervisor from within the past 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the past 3 yearsBenefits
