Job Summary

We are a family-owned excavating company seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. Some experience is preferred, but we value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
• Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely
• Keep accurate maintenance and repair records
• Work with operators and management to address equipment concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures

Equipment May Include

• Excavators
• Loaders
• Dozers
• Skid steers
• Dump trucks and support vehicles

Qualifications

• Some experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic preferred
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently
• Strong attention to detail and safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid drivers license required
