Client is seeking talented individuals for a Non-Destructive Test (NDT) Quality Specialist to support our 787 Quality team in North Charleston, SC.
Applicable and appropriate educational / certification credentials from an accredited institution and / or equivalent experience is required.
- Must submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission.
Position Responsibilities :
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipmentPerforms tests or inspections and collects dataDocuments, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendationsUtilizes technical competencies to provide feedback on adverse trendsResponsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company productsConducts on-the-job training (OJT)Adheres to Boeing policies, processes and major inspection methods proceduresBasic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience) :
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 reviewCurrent or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Eddy Current Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 reviewMust submit documented evidence of certification at time of application submission.Willing to work variable shifts, including weekend overtime rotations and occasional shift overtimeCapable of working in confined spaces3+ years of experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)3+ years of experience inspecting parts, components, assemblies, or unitsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience) :
Current or prior NAS410 or equivalent certified Level 2 in Penetrant and / or Magnetic Particle and / or Radiography Testing; must have documented evidence available for Boeing Level 3 reviewAble to work from heights up to 55 feetExperience analyzing and interpreting Ultrasonic C-scansDigital radiography, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle experienceAble to fit through a 10'' X 18'' oval openingExperience inspecting composite material3+ years of experience writing NDT procedures and techniquesUnderstanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies
