The City of Fishers is seeking a full-time Foreman for the Asphalt team within the Department of Public Works Streets Division. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, maintenance of the City of Fishers asphalt infrastructure. All other tasks range from, but not limited to, paving, curb and inlet repair, sidewalk repairs, mowing / landscaping rights-of-way, and replace / repair signage. Other duties include identifying possible capital improvement needs, snow and ice control, and trash cleanup. This position has continuous oversight for senior laborers, laborers, and part-time positions. Requires evening, weekend and on-call work. Examples of Duties :

• Supervise and inspect daily tasks assigned to work crews
• Creates innovative solutions to difficult challenges.
• Ensure efficiency and quality work.
• Carries out and supervises maintenance and repair of asphalt assets that meets MUTCD, and OSHA requirements.
• Oversees scheduling and prioritization of any and all repairs, renovations and general day to day maintenance to streets and rights-of-way.
• Creates an environment where everyone feels respected, confident, and valued.
• Leading and managing the on-site construction team.
• Monitoring and ensuring roadway safety compliance, enforcing work category safety compliance.
• Overseeing and making decisions related to the performance of work related to scheduling, logistics, quality control.
• Conduct daily site inspections of all properties to ensure quality and completion of assigned work.
• Performs all duties of a laborer including snow removal.
