Automotive Claims & Customer Service Representative

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Claims & Customer Service Representative to support customers and dealers with inquiries, account status updates, and vehicle service contract (VSC) claims. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls (35+ per day), answering questions on coverage, exclusions, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist customers and dealers with problem resolution, correspondence processing, and contract cancellations.
  • Manage complex, high‑value VSC repair and maintenance claims.
  • Document interactions and navigate multiple computer systems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with dealer staff and inspection partners to determine coverage.
  • Perform rotating office and team tasks as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong customer service and problem‑resolution background; experience in financial services preferred.
  • Ability to multitask using various computer systems.
  • 1-2 years in manger or leadership role
  • Solid understanding of automotive operations, warranty claims, and repair processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions on vehicle repairs.
  • Clear, respectful communication and openness to coaching.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
  • Five or more years of claims/customer service experience in a vehicle service contract environment or equivalent dealership/repair shop experience.
  • Associate degree in Automotive Technology or ASE Certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems and dealer portals.

This is a Contract position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $26.00/hr.
