About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Technologist

Profession : Surgical Services

Specialty : OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 10 hours (06 : 30 - 17 : 00)

Experience : Minimum of two years of scrub experience or equivalent relevant experience required. Strong orthopedic, sports medicine, and minimally invasive surgery experience preferred.

License : Must possess current licensure in the required specialty.

Certifications : BLS certification required through the American Heart Association. CST preferred.

Must-Have : Strong background in orthopedic procedures, particularly in sports medicine, including ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, hip arthroscopy, total and reverse shoulder arthroplasty. Familiarity with Stryker MAKO Robotics and Intuitive DaVinci Robotics is preferred.

Description :

The Surgical Technologist prepares the Operating Room prior to surgery.

The incumbent promotes patient safety during surgery.

They provide assistance to the surgeon during surgical procedures.

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for caring for the instruments and supplies used during surgery.

They function effectively as a member of the surgical team, ensuring patient safety at all times.

The role requires knowledge and skills to effectively care for patients of all age groups, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

The ideal candidate will have experience with various orthopedic and sports medicine procedures.

They will assist in a variety of surgical specialties, including minimally invasive techniques.

Floating to multiple units may be required based on current staffing needs.

Candidates should be prepared to meet the demands of a fast-paced surgical environment.
