Internal Medicine physician job in Kansas : - Serve as a board-certified Internal Medicine Specialist providing care to adult patients who have both acute and chronic illnesses of all complexities. - Serve as a core faculty member of the Internal Medicine Residency Program under the direction of the Program Director. - Develop, implement, and assess the Internal Medicine Residency Program curriculum. - Examine, diagnose, treat, and follow patients with a wide range of medical problems, including heart failure, kidney disease, hypertension, diabetes, liver disease, cancer, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and thyroid disorders. - Order laboratory and radiologic studies appropriately to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care. - Serve as an attending physician and leader of an inpatient medicine team, supervising, teaching, objectively evaluating, and providing consultation to other healthcare providers. - Performs military medical board and Temporary Disability Retired List (TDRL) evaluations. - Render urgent treatment and hospitalizes patients as required. - Collaborate with other specialties and other services on complex patients requiring a multi-disciplinary approach. PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
