Job Title
To perform complex financial analysis and to provide supervisory guidance in a fiscal group of the Medical Branch.
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Finance / Accounting or equivalent in related field. Four years related experience in a financial or related field.
Preferred Skill / Competency :
PeopleSoft FMS, Epic Billing, Hyperion
Preferred Education :
CPA and / or MBA
Specific Job Related Duties :
- Obtains knowledge of Institution, integration of department with other areas of the Institution, and department specific processes.
- Mentors and trains other team members
- Coordinates and assists with month end close journal entries, account reconciliations, including entries and reports related to net patient care revenue.
- Provides clear and accurate financial information, which enables senior management to make informed long-term and short-term decisions.
- Prepare reports as requested, which includes financial reports, regulatory reports, audit requests, and various surveys.
- Develops and refines efficient processes that help to establish a clear financial picture of our Institution.
- Gains knowledge of available system resources and utilize in implementing more efficient processes.
- Adheres to established internal controls, identifies areas to strengthen or develop controls where needed.
- Adheres to internal controls and reporting structure.
- Provides outstanding customer service and works well both individually and as a team member.
Required Skill Set :
Strong analytical skills.Strong computer skills including adequate skills in Excel.Communicate well both verbally and in written word.Strong attention to detail.Work under pressure to meet established deadlines.Comfortable handling a wide variety of tasks on any given dayWork Schedule :
Partial remote, Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, some weekend and after 5pm hours will be occasionally required.
Salary Range :
Actual salary commensurate with experience.
