Job description

Art Machine, a division of Trailer Park Group, is a fully integrated advertising agency dedicated to building fans for brands and entertainment properties. An Associate Creative Director (ACD) is a key member of our leadership team. This role will assist in leading projects with oversight from a Creative Director. They possess outstanding compositing skills, sharp conceptual thinking, and the ability to convey complex messages seamlessly through images, graphics, and typography. ACD's are able to manage and help oversee multiple projects at a time while also contributing art to presentations.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

Develop high-quality art and presentations for film, television and streaming projects. Responsibilities include contributing to comp and sketch presentations, with a strong emphasis on project leadership. An ACD is second-in-command for leading creative projects.

Managing responsibilities

  • Lead Tier 3 projects with the oversight of a Creative Director.
  • Assist and collaborate with Creative Directors on Tier 1 projects.
  • Attend client kickoff calls to digest briefs and develop external communications.
  • Interpret client briefs and be able to articulate clear direction to their team.
  • Approach assignments holistically to deliver concepts that align with client direction while also exploring new ideas.
  • Offer insights and feedback during the ideation process to enhance creative concepts and comps from creative teams.
  • Guide the creative team's work to adopt a comprehensive approach while ensuring projects meet deadlines, budgets and Art Machine standards.
  • Manage photo shoots of all sizes.

o Collaborate with photographers and productions team

o Make wardrobe recommendations and approve props

o Assist in talent approval (when applicable)

  • Manage and collaborate with a diverse team of creatives, including art directors, sketch artists, 3D artists, production artists, and finishers.
  • Mentor the creative team on active campaigns.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the creative supervisor.
  • Creative responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and execute original key art comps for film, television, streaming and gaming projects.
  • Assist in ideating and building any extra comps that are needed to round out presentations.
  • Manage and create client presentations that are well put together from sketch idea to reference material.
  • ABOUT YOU :

    Extensive industry experience demonstrating the ability to create and execute key art and presentations for film, television and streaming projects.

  • Advanced understanding of design principles such as composition, lighting and typography.
  • Proficient in the creative process, excelling in ideation, and technical proficiency, while completing tasks efficiently.
  • Exhibit leadership skills to help guide teams to creative solutions.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, enabling clear articulation of design concepts and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve cohesive creative outcomes.
  • Begin to build rapport and trust with clients through strategic and thoughtful collaboration.
  • Self-reliant and proactive in decision-making and problem-solving to achieve creative solutions.
  • Knowledge of Mac OS and highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, with expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator.

    Please note that a job offer for this position will be determined based on many factors, including experience, unique skill set, other qualifications, location, job performance (current employees), and various business and budgetary considerations.
