The In-Room Dining Lead Server will prepare guests’ orders, deliver, and collect food and beverage items from guest rooms following company procedures.
This position has an hourly rate of $23.00 + Tips.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer the In-Room dining phone in a timely and courteous manner, take guests’ food and beverage orders accurately
- Follow SOP’s on placing orders with allergies and dietary restrictions
- Maintain SOPs for In-Room Dining as directed by management
- Communicate with Chefs about guest orders, custom details, restrictions and allergies
- Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner when delivering orders
- Maintain the LQA standards for set up and delivery of all food and beverage orders
- Maintain a clean workspace that complies with all NYC DOH and Diversey regulations and standards
- Amenity delegation, writing amenity tickets with the guest’s name, suite number, and quantity while ensuring the quality of amenities is held up to Aman standards.
- Respond to all guest needs, questions, and issues in a timely manner to ensure guest satisfaction
- Ensure all opening and closing side work is complete for both shifts, and holding the team accountable
- Complete In-Room Dining Server tasks as required to ensure a seamless shift and guest experience
- Ensure all information from Beekeeper is reviewed for the day
- Attend daily pre shift communication meetings & monthly departmental meetings
- Generate a good atmosphere
- Ensure the colleague dining room is well-organized, cleaned frequently, and beverages, food, and OS&E (silverware, plateware, glassware, napkins, etc.) are replenished in a timely manner
- All other responsibilities assigned by Management
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Must have 5-year experience in a luxury hotel environment or similar restaurant or food and beverage settingMust have open availability including weekends and holidaysPositive, engaging, and energetic personalityAble to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervisionVery high attention to detailSensitive to cultural nuancesAbility to maintain the privacy and discretion of our guestsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English. Multi-lingual is a plusAble to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, fast paced environmentExcellent people skills and the ability to work under pressure and with various stakeholdersAbility to maintain a clean and professional appearance as per company policiesAbility to carry, push, and pull heavy loads; standing, bending and lifting up to 40 pounds will be requiredTIPS and ServSafe CertifiedWe use eVerify to confirm U.S. Employment eligibility.
