Contract Patient Care Technician (PCT) - Psychiatric Unit

Shifts Available: Day/Evening/Night Shifts (7:00am/3:00pm/11:00pm,8 Hrs.)

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Technicians to join our team on a 13-week contract basis. This role involves caring for patients by directly observing and engaging in activities with patients.

Responsibilities:

• Measuring and recording vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature.
• Assisting patients with daily tasks, including dressing, eating, and personal hygiene.
• Relocating and moving patients as needed for comfort and medical care.
• Collecting body fluid specimens and performing basic lab work
• Reporting patients concerns to healthcare providers.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families throughout treatment.

Qualifications:

• Current and unrestricted PCT/C.N.A. license in the state of employment.
• Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience as a PCT/C.N.A.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to maintain focus and accuracy in a high-acuity environment.
• *Required Certifications: BLS, PCT Cert via NHA, & one of the following De-Escalation Training Certifications: CPI, MOAB, Handle with Care, TRUST training, or Preventing and Managing Crisis Situations

Schedule Requirements:

• Contract/Full Time, schedule (37.5 hours weekly)
• Must be available for at least 1 major holiday during holiday season, with every other weekend availability required
