Job description

Job SummaryEssential Duties and Responsibilities - Operate Diamond CNC machinery in accordance with production schedules and specifications.

Inspect and clean diamond tools to ensure performance and quality standards are met.

Braze tools as needed using proper procedures and equipment.

Assist the department supervisor with managing workload distribution, customer demands, and machine utilization.

Support departmental personnel through training, development, and addressing individual needs.

Perform quality checks on tools and serve as a resource for quality-related inquiries.

Complete and maintain accurate documentation related to tooling and machine operations.

Conduct routine machine maintenance as required.

Qualifications Education and Experience - High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 5 or more years of CNC machining experience preferred.

Technical Skills - Proficient in operating Multi-axis CNC machinery.

Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and schematics.

Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.

Strongmathematical abilities, including working with fractions, decimals, and whole numbers.

Basic knowledge of general housekeeping and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.

Training Requirements - Completion of all required safety and compliance training.

Cross-training in at least one additional job function is expected.

Participation in continuous improvement and skills development initiatives.

Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using all units of measure.

  • Competency with common fractions and decimals is essential for tool measurements and calculations.
  • Physical Requirements - Ability to stand for extended periods.

    Frequent use of hands and arms for tool handling and machine operation.

    Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.

    Reasoning and Problem-Solving Skills - Strong analytical skills to identify problems, interpret data, and recommend solutions.

  • Ability to read and interpret complex instructions, including diagrams and technical specifications.
  • Work Environment - The work environment is representative of a typical manufacturing setting, with exposure to noise, machinery, and tools.
