Operations Logistics Manager Coordinator

Salary: 50,000-60,000 Annually

A manager to supervise and advise a team of dispatchers. Customer relationship management oriented with the ability to understand your customer, your customers' needs and expectations, and strive to meet, exceed, and anticipate those expectations. Work with internal customers, to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes to improve operational and financial performance within the company.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
The requirements and responsibility of the Project Manager shall include but not necessarily be limited to the following:
Proactive focus on departmental growth and maximizing business opportunities
Collaborate with other departments within company to develop project specific deliverables.
Overall control and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the project.
Maintain and develop vendor relationships, including LTL, FTL, and Warehouse
o Experienced with LTL, FTL, freight brokerage, Drayage and the use of TMS platforms.
Delegate and organize workflow ensuring that employees understand their assignments, timelines, and performance expectations
Coordinate with all customers to ensure a seamless flow of cargo from the port of arrival / port of dispatch to site, Vessel direct discharge
Jointly develop and agree project specific working procedures with customers with a shipping, consolidation and logistics strategy.
Verify and evaluate the technical suitability of the proposed method of transport and, identify the Required-On-Site date for the material and equipment released for shipment.
Review, study, and implement an action plan on each Release for Shipment based on the conditions contained therein. -Rail experience is needed for pickups -Ocean Imports experience -Solar Projects
To attend when requested by the client project progress meetings, or other locations to discuss forthcoming shipping operations and logistical planning.
Manage Shipments within the TMS and tracking of freight./inventory
Invoicing of shipments in a timely and accurate manner.
Preparation of logistic concepts and operational procedures.
Claims handling and advice.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of products as well as Google Docs and Smartsheets
Strong organizational and analytical skills
On behalf of the client, negotiate contracts with suitable suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements. -Working directly with customers to meet their delivery schedules
