North Carolina Licensed Assistant Controller

A company is looking for an Assistant Controller.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure accurate preparation and maintenance of general ledger accounts and financial statements

Facilitate monthly and annual close processes, including reconciliations and financial analysis

Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in accounting operations

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred; eligibility for CPA is a plus

6-10+ years of experience in public accounting or relevant corporate accounting

Experience with inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) accounting required

Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and ASC 842 lease compliance preferred
