Responsibilities & Qualifications
The Finance & Accounting team located at the Davenport, IA facility is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst. This role will report to the Operations Controller for the Davenport plant. This candidate will be responsible for coordinating several plant-based finance functions relating to operating expenses, as well as bridging individual manufacturing units reporting and plant-level reporting. This candidate will work cross-functionally with both plant-based teams and corporate FP&A.
Responsibilities
- Performing month-end activities such as completing & uploading journal entries and forecasts, exporting data from different sources to review & analyze actual results against plan and forecast. Account reconciliations in OneStream.
- Complete plant-level budgets & analysis related to hourly wage forecasts, energy, headcount, and overtime.
- Consolidating and summarizing the manufacturing unit data into plant-level reporting for the Controller and leadership team.
- Acting as Financial Business Partner for Davenport. This includes :
- Supporting in all matters related to OpEx
- Build analytical models applying both financial and non-financial data to forecast and analyze operating results. Clearly articulate these results back to management in order to make better business decisions.
- Support Novelis Operating Systems and continuous improvement activities by participating in cross-functional business projects and gain an extensive knowledge of the operational cost drivers to better support project initiatives.
- Provide training & regular support to their departments regarding matters such as purchase requisitions, RFA submissions, invoice resolutions, valuations, and budgets.
- Periodically attend department meetings to stay up-to-date on manufacturing activities and provide support to the teams.
- Track and report capital expenditures (CapEx), ensuring alignment with budget and proper asset capitalization
- Support internal and external audits by organizing relevant materials and responding to inquiries
Qualifications
BS Degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years' experience in financial planning, forecasting and analysis.Proficient in ERP systems and advanced Excel; experience with Power BI or database systems / tools preferredExcellent organizational and project management skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Strong analytical skills in business performance measurements are required, and financial modeling experience.Creative and innovative teammate with a positive approach and a focus on business issues.Proven ability to build successful relationships with plant leadership and regional office personnel.Willingness to tackle additional projects and multi-task with changing priorities, as necessary.Proven ability to meet tight deadlines with emphasis on sustained accuracy and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications
