Special Education Teacher

Birch Agency, a nationally recognized company in educational services, is looking for a dedicated Education Specialist / Special Education Teacher (Mild / Moderate) to join our team in Galt, CA ! We have a passion for making a difference in the lives of children with special needs, and we are hiring like-minded professionals to be part of our team.

Job Details : Start : ASAP

Full-time (7.5 hour shifts)

Age group : K-6th

Caseload : TBD

Mild / Moderate - RSP

Pay dependent on experience but starting at $50-60 / hr

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Special Education from an accredited institution

Valid state license or certification for Mild / Moderate Education Specialist

Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting, with a strong emphasis on supporting those with special needs

Responsibilities :

As a Special Education Teacher with Birch Agency, you will :

Provide direct / group instructions to students with disabilities

Develop lesson plans / instructional material to meet needs of students IEP

Conduct educational assessments

Attend IEP meetings

Assist in planning and development of IEP

Facilitate implementation of special education services

Collaborate with other members who are part of the special education team

Employ a variety of teaching styles to respond to needs of diverse learners

Effectively communicate with parents / caregivers and staff to support students academic success

Modify traditional education curriculum to meet students needs

Ensure appropriate accommodations are available for classroom instruction and testing

Employ techniques for positive behavioral support

Assist in the collection of data for providing appropriate classroom interventions
