Description :

RRT license is required.

The department provides a range of respiratory care services.

The number of treatments per day varies based on patient levels.

Respiratory Therapists will work with patients of all ages, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.

The facility delivers approximately 35 babies each month.

The coverage area includes the entire hospital, with main department needs in multiple areas including the emergency room and critical care unit.

Experience or skills needed include bubble CPAP, ABGs, and management of ventilation support.

Job duties include administering breathing treatments, drawing ABGs, and assisting in intubations.

Respiratory Therapists will primarily work independently for the majority of their shifts.

Weekend and holiday work may be required to fill staffing needs.

There is no on-call or standby call requirement.

The ability to move quickly is essential, as the facility is a critical access hospital on one level.

Staff may walk 6-8 miles per shift.

Prioritization and teamwork are crucial for success.

Daily shift checks and documentation of procedures are the responsibility of the Therapist.
