Compensation : $34.00 to $36.00 per hour
Summary : Works with St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) management team to develop, train and cultivate the SVdP volunteer base. Helps in development of corporate donors for event sponsorships, in-kind giving of merchandise, and manages volunteer opportunities, appreciation program and relevant data.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned :
- Act as liaison with staff, public, interns, and volunteers.
- Develop and implement strategies for recruiting, training, and retaining volunteers fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment.
- Build partnerships with local organizations, schools, faith groups, and corporations.
- Serve as the primary liaison with community partners for volunteer and event-related initiatives.
- Develop and manage a volunteer recognition and appreciation program.
- Run background checks, quarterly hour tracking, interact with Volunteers, handle intake, and maintain system to track individual volunteer’s paperwork, recruitment, training, scheduling; also responsible for hours tracking and acknowledgment letters using Volunteer Management Software.
- Oversee onboarding and training processes to ensure volunteers are well-prepared.
- Create training materials and manuals to maintain service quality and safety standards.
- Address concerns, resolve conflicts,and maintain volunteer compliance with organizational policies.
- Manage donor activity, work with the Associate Director of Development & Communications to track and follow through on Donor related issues or inquires. Provide support for the annual Blue Dress Breakfast, Golf Tournament, and any other event for Donor Development and appreciation.
- Provide outreach to the Catholic school system. Schedule school groups for SVdP Campus visits. Provide general communications with Educational Professionals.
- Work with Associate Director of Development & Communications to develop and implement a program to engage young adults and students in the SVdP mission by creating volunteer and other opportunities to educate youth about SVdP.
- Create volunteer opportunities and help to promote through corporate partnerships.
- Assist with Annual Report for Development.
- Engage with programs including Centro Rendu, and other programs throughout the community.
May be called upon to assist with special projects and assume responsibility for the development, administration, and promotion of specific projects, as required.

Education / Experience
Bachelors degree in communication, business, or other related field with at least 2 years of work experience preferred. Or, Associates of Arts Degree and at least 4 years’ experience performing the duties of this job or a combination of education and experience. It is highly desirable that experience includes working in a not for profit environment.
