Fulltime Day Shift 7a-7p

This is a 14-bed Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit (CTICU) that provides care for adults with complex cardiac conditions, including multisystem organ failures.

Multidisciplinary collaborative teams to provide high-acuity complex care to >

4,000 critically ill adults annually.

The normal patient ratio is 2 : 1 with a defining 1 : 1 criteria.

Certified Transplant Center- Hearts

Certified VAD Center (Heartmate II & III, Impella, Centrimag, Heartware)

Gold Level ECMO Center

Three Star Cardiac Surgery Program

Intra-aortic Balloon Pumps

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.
