• Hours : Mon / Wed / Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm
• Required Travel : Travel to Highland Park Hospital

What you will do :

Provides clinical social assessment and intervention including post-discharge plan, as indicated. This position supports at-risk and high-risk pregnant women, pediatric patients, neonates, perinatal and pediatric loss patients, adoption and surrogacy families and obstetrical and gynecological surgery step-down discharges. The objectives of this position support improved patient outcomes, safety and appropriate and timely treatment and discharge.

Education : Two years clinical experience required, 3 - 5 years preferred.

Certification : LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, PsyD, PhD-Clinical or equivalent.

Experience : Two or more years experience with high-risk, at-risk pregnant women and families, preferred.

Unique or Preferred Skills : 1) Knowledge of developmental needs of the neonate to one month; 2) knowledge of the needs and strengths of the adult maternity patient : cognitive and emotional during the perinatal period, related to L&D and postpartum; 3) knowledge of the developmental needs and strengths of the teen maternity patient : cognitive, emotional during the perinatal period, related to L&D and postpartum; 4) perinatal loss; and 5) in-patient pediatric patients
