Make your mark in Marine Loss Control Engineering

Marine Loss Control Engineering is critical to overall risk assessment and support to the Underwriters, and in the winning, and retaining of Marine clients. The Marine Loss Control Engineer is a technical expert in maritime and security operations, and is normally the connection between the client, the Underwriter, third-party Surveyors, and / or the brokers. The Marine Loss Control Engineer performs important functions such as conducting Account Reviews, addressing Underwriting concerns, managing the Loss Control activities, etc.

How you will create an impact

Conduct New Business and Account Renewal reviews

Warehouse / Logistics Security Reviews

• Review of Cargo Load, Stow, Discharge, and Transportation Plans
• Review of Vessel Condition and Valuation Survey Reports
• Vessel Vetting (Rightship and other desktop tools)
• Review Location Loss Control Reports
• Development of Risk Reduction Plans by reviewing loss history in order to make recommendations for Risk Improvement
• Conduct and attend client and / or broker meetings
• Coordinate loss control visits or assign to an experienced and qualified vendor
• Manage vendor relationships including payment of invoices

What you'll need to succeed

For positions based in Illinois, the base salary range is $125,000-$173,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
