Must-Have :

• CVOR candidates should be able to work in the general OR.
• All modules must be completed prior to arrival.
• First-time travelers will not be considered.

Description :

Cerner experience is required.

A minimum of 2 nights of call per 4-week schedule is expected.

Currently, RNs are on call every 2nd / 3rd weekend due to staffing constraints, which should improve to every 3rd / 4th weekend when fully staffed.

The unit has a strong Open Heart Surgery program.

On average, the unit handles 23-25 cases per day.

There are 8 operating rooms plus 2 heart rooms, totaling 9-10 rooms.

The types of cases include general surgery, vascular, ortho, endo, and urology, but do not include trauma cases.

Support is available, including a charge nurse on staff.

Scrub colors are provided.

Floating outside the OR is not permitted, though CVOR RNs may float to the main OR if necessary.

Cancellation policy permits the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Charting is performed using Cerner.

BSN is not required.
