I am working with a Hospital, seeking to add an outstanding surgeon to their Cardiothoracic Surgery team. They perform all types of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery, except for transplantation. Care is delivered in a single state-of the art 690 bed tertiary facility with integrated support from anesthesiology, cardiology, critical care / hospital medicine and interventional radiology. The new surgeon will need to be board certified with a minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience. They are looking for an experienced candidate who can mentor one of their other, younger cardiac surgeons. They are looking to add a new surgeon due to the retirement of one of their existing surgeons within the next year. You would be steeping into an established CTS surgical practice. Proficiency in minimally invasive procedures, complex aortic disease, endovascular techniques, VAD support is desired. The medical center has 65 ER beds, 6 cardiac cath labs, an EP Lab, 75 Unit beds (CVICU, CCU, MICU, SICU, NeuroICU, NICU) and 25 ORs. The practice is located in a wonderful community about an hour from Memphis, and 90 minutes from Nashville, TN. This is a very dynamic, growing city of nearly 75,000 in population.
