Founded in 1897, Agawam Hunt is one of the original 25 USGA Member Clubs. A family-friendly, year-round club located minutes from downtown Providence, in Rumford, Agawam Hunt boasts some of the finest recreational facilities in New England. These include a premier Food & Beverage program that complements our 18-hole Donald Ross-designed golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, pickleball, platform, squash, swimming, and a close-knit community of families and individuals.

About the Position : Bartender

Agawam Hunt is seeking experienced, professional Bartenders to join our team for the Fall / Winter 2025 season, with opportunities for year-round employment for standout candidates.

Bartenders are integral to creating a seamless, elevated experience for our members and guests. This role requires individuals who bring a strong command of classic and contemporary beverage service, coupled with the grace and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic private club environment.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced setting, and maintains composure while consistently delivering warm, personalized hospitality. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, professional, and passionate about hospitality, with strong food and beverage knowledge to match the club's elevated service standards.

Bartenders at Agawam play a central role in delivering a memorable dining and social experience for our members and guests.

Responsibilities include :

Preparing and serving a wide range of cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and speed

Provide warm, engaging, and knowledgeable service, anticipating member needs with professionalism and poise

Adapt seamlessly between busy events, fine dining service, and more casual member interactions

Maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area

Collaborating closely with the service team to ensure seamless member experiences

Uphold strict standards for presentation, accuracy, and alcohol safety

Upholding alcohol safety protocols and club standards at all times

Qualifications :

Minimum 1 year of bartending experience in a restaurant, club, or similar hospitality setting

Strong foundation in spirits, wine, beer, and cocktail techniques

Excellent conversational and interpersonal skills

Ability to work on your feet for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and minor holidays are required

Alcohol safety certification is required (the Club will assist in obtaining certification if needed)
