Radiologic Technologist

Join Our Urgent Care Team as a Radiologic Technologist!

MedStar Health is seeking a dedicated Radiologic Technologist to be a vital part of our Urgent Care team. In this role, you will perform a variety of clinical and administrative duties that are essential to patient care, in line with established policies and procedures, all while working under the supervision of a physician.

Key Responsibilities :

Uphold the MedStar Health Code of Conduct and adhere to compliance protocols; complete necessary training in safety, infection control, and patient care.

Prepare and organize medical equipment and patient rooms to ensure a safe and efficient care environment.

Utilize technology and electronic health records effectively to enhance patient communication and experience.

Conduct various clinical procedures, including venipuncture, EKGs, and patient vital assessments, while emphasizing patient comfort and safety.

Perform X-ray procedures as ordered by the medical provider and ensure all images are accurately transmitted for radiologist review.

Support patient navigation throughout their care journey, including clear communication during discharge processes.

Collaborate with team members to optimize patient flow and assist during busy times; understand front desk operations.

Administer medications as directed by the medical provider after demonstrating competency.

Qualifications :

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience through an externship in a medical or ambulatory health setting.
• Preferred : At least 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• ARRT Certification required.
• Current Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
• BLS Certification is a must.

This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from USD $29.15 to USD $51.68.
