Pharmacist Position
The Pharmacist ensures the overall integrity, safety, rationality, and effectiveness of the drug use control process for all patients in the assigned geographic or specialty area, including the following patient groups : Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire : Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy required or obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for continued employment : Current licensure with the Virginia State Board of Pharmacy.
Experience REQUIRED : N / A
Experience PREFERRED : Minimum of one (1) year of pharmacy practice experience in a similar setting. Previous experience with state of the art drug distribution and clinical service methods and drug information sources and retrieval and communication methods.
Education / training REQUIRED : Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited academic program.
Education / training PREFERRED : Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an accredited academic program.

This position is for a rotating ambulatory pharmacist at VCU Health in the retail pharmacy setting. This position will support operations in ACC / Discharge Pharmacy, AOP / DOC pharmacy, Hayes E Willis, Employee Pharmacy, and CHoR.
