Desktop Support Technician Location : Austin, TX Start Date : Early December (TBD) Duration : Approx. 60 days (possibly extending) Openings : 2 About the Role We’re hiring Desktop Support Technicians for a short-term project involving hardware deployment, configuration, and end-user support in a professional environment. Responsibilities Set up and configure desktops, laptops, and peripherals. Install operating systems, apply security updates, and configure network settings. Deploy hardware to designated locations and verify functionality. Install and troubleshoot applications for compatibility and performance. Validate user access and perform initial login tests. Document work and update asset inventory. Decommission old equipment and ensure compliance with disposal standards. Provide on-site troubleshooting and escalate issues when needed. Qualifications Experience in desktop support and hardware deployment. Knowledge of networking basics (IP configuration, VLAN) and security patching. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills. Ability to follow compliance and documentation standards. Healthcare IT experience is a plus but not required.
