An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced researcher in Cell Biology to join Altos Labs at the Bay Area Institute of Science.
Responsibilities
- Take a hands-on role in planning and executing molecular and cell biological assays, from data collection, data analysis to sharing results with internal team.
- Test, develop and optimize assays to support our daily research activities and establish written SOPs.
- Foster collaboration with internal groups and ensure the lab space remains organized to our standards of excellence.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications
BS Degree with 5 + years or Master’s Degree with 3+ years of hands on experience in life science research.Good knowledge in at least one of the following fields : Cell Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, and Aging.3 + years’ experience in tissue culture of mammalian cell lines and / or primary cells.Hands on experience in lab research techniques including DNA / RNA / protein extraction, qPCR, western blot, ELISA, and immunofluorescence staining.Ability to work in a dynamic environment and with others in a team.Preferred qualifications
Experience in multi-color flow cytometry-based analysis and cell sorting.Experience in immunofluorescence staining, light & confocal microscopy, and live cell imaging.Experience in high throughput assays.Ability to focus on details to produce accurate, quality work.Excellent documentation skills including ELN.Consistent, positive, can-do attitude and ability to complete work in a timely manner.The salary range for Redwood City, CA :
Senior Research Associate : 115,600 - $156,400Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
