Job Summary

This position will play a vital role in promoting Georgia Highlands College (GHC) by creating engaging and dynamic content to enhance student retention and recruitment efforts. The position is responsible for showcasing life at GHC through social media platforms, ensuring the content stays on-brand and helps maintain top-of-mind awareness for the college. Work assignments and events may be scheduled on any GHC campus site.

Responsibilities

• Content Creation : Capture photos and videos at events, on-campus activities, and other college-related happenings. Create reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form video content highlighting GHC's student experience.
• Social Media Management : Develop creative content strategies aligned with GHC branding guidelines. Collaborate with the Marketing and Communication team to schedule and post content on GHC's official social media platforms.
• Brand Representation : Serve as an ambassador for GHC, showcasing the college's culture, diversity, and academic opportunities. Ensure all content represents the values and mission of GHC.
• Analytics and Reporting : Track engagement metrics to identify successful content strategies. Provide feedback to the Marketing team on student trends and preferences.
• Collaboration : Partner with students, faculty, and staff to identify key stories and events to highlight. Attend GHC events to document and promote activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and current GHC undergraduate student with :

Some prior experience is preferred but not required. Job-specific training will be provided.

Salary

Salary is $12 per hour, up to 19 hours per week.
