Pay Range : $90,075 – $101,824 annual compensation

Sign-on Incentive : $5,400 – 50% after first pay period, 50% after 6 months of employment
Workdays & Hours : Monday – Friday 8 am – 5 pm; some evening / weekend work may be required

Plant Operations Division
The division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the Water Department's facilities.
- Five water treatment plants with a combined capacity of 512 MGD
- A 166 MGD wastewater treatment facility
- Numerous pump, lift, flow transfer, and meter stations

Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related fieldFour years of increasingly responsible civil engineering experience as a registered professional engineer, with at least two years performing project management, design, and contract administration of water and wastewater projectsRegistered Professional Engineer in the State of TexasIf licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Professional Engineer registration within six months of employmentValid Texas driver's licensePreferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processesBasic knowledge of hydraulic modeling software (InfoWater, InfoWorks, WaterGEMS) and treatment process modeling (GPS-X)Basic knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems, drafting, ArcGIS mapping, or SCADA systemsResponsibilities
Develop detailed specifications to procure new equipment that enhances treatment efficiencyLead in-house design projects and manage full project lifecycle, including procurement, construction oversight, and startup coordinationProvide technical guidance to Plant Operations, offering insights for process optimization and continuous improvementOversee capital delivery projects, ensuring alignment with operational goals and regulatory requirementsUse hydraulic modeling to evaluate distribution system shutdowns, improve water quality, and implement operational enhancementsManage design and construction of critical infrastructure such as pump stations, lift stations, and plant expansionsJob Information
