About The Position We are seeking an experienced Neurological Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens assignment in Virginia. This opportunity begins on Nov 24, 2025, and offers a 63-day contract working a 7 on / 7 off night shift rotation from 7pm to 7am. The role focuses on pre- and post-operative rounding with neurosurgery patients in a hospital setting, without any operating room responsibilities. Job Details Location : Virginia Facility Type : Hospital Start Date : Nov 24, 2025 LOA : 63 days Provider Type Needed : Neurological Surgery Nurse Practitioner Schedule : 7 on / 7 off; Monday-Monday, 7pm-7am Responsibilities and Duties Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounding for neurosurgery patients Manage care transitions and provide clinical updates on assigned patients Collaborate with neurosurgeons and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care Document patient assessments and progress notes accurately Communicate effectively with nursing staff and other hospital personnel Additional Information Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (ACNP-BC) required Must have strong experience working with neurosurgery patients VA license required Preference for candidates with Epic experience Must be comfortable rotating between two hospital locations as needed Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
