Environmental Services Technician

The Environmental Services Technician is a member of the City of Hope Environmental Services team and is responsible for performing established standard cleaning procedures to provide non-medical support in assigned units of the hospital and hotel areas. The position operates equipment and utilizes necessary tools, products and supplies to complete general, isolation, and terminal cleaning duties. The goal of EVS tech is to provide a safe, attractive environment for patients, visitors and employees within the hospital and hotel. Duties may include, but are not limited to, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning light fixtures, furniture including medical and non-medical equipment. Emptying trash, cleaning trash cans and cleaning glass.

Minimum Job Qualifications :

Education : High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required

Experience : Healthcare or hospitality experience preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities :

• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and well on a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
