As part of the continued growth and innovation of our North American Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CS&CC) team, ERM has an opportunity for an experienced leader to join our global consulting firm as a Partner to lead on our programmatic approach offering of decarbonization strategies with a clear value creation proposition. We are looking for an established leader interested in being part of ERM's thriving global community – outstanding professionals who combine strong consulting and business development skills with a strong technical foundation – to foster and expand a network of excellent client relationships across a variety of sectors.

Our global CS&CC practice provides strategic advisory services from Board engagement to operationalizing sustainability and climate change strategy across our clients' business. Our team offers carbon accounting analyses, assessments of transition and physical risks and opportunities, setting and implementing ambitious climate goals (e.g., net-zero and science-based targets), embedding climate considerations into business strategy and disclosure through reporting and investor communications. ERM's CS&CC practice is rapidly growing in a global market.

Responsibilities

  • Primary focus on client development and delivery of the full spectrum of ERM's consulting services to provide strategic value to our Key Clients in North America.
  • Grow ERM's CS&CC practice with a focus on Climate Change Advisory across the firm's portfolio of service offerings by setting strategic direction, engaging leaders at the Board, C-suite, and operational management, and integrating climate strategy into business strategy.
  • Leverage ERM's capabilities to implement change through business process transformation, digital solutions, and deep subject matter expertise to help clients integrate decarbonization and climate resilience strategies into their organizations and drive continuous improvement and value.
  • Demonstrate strong business and leadership skills to deliver ERM's objectives :
  • Actively develop commercial strategies to pursue and win new opportunities in the Low Carbon Economy Transition, resulting in revenue growth with target clients aligned to ERM's global strategy.
  • Provide value-based selling at top levels of client organizations to raise ERM's profile and shape client needs for ERM services.
  • Develop new client relationships and expand existing ones by delivering strategic consulting, value, and quality service.
  • Maintain awareness of industry deals and prioritize sales efforts toward high-potential opportunities.
  • Manage capture efforts with technical proposals, pricing, presentations, and contracting.
  • Help evolve ERM's Climate Advisory positioning within Key Clients and High Growth, High Value clients by being active in the market and delivering high-quality, impactful solutions.
  • Build, grow, and manage a high-performance team; mentor consultants and develop emerging talent.
  • Support growth and development of ERM's North American Climate Advisory practice and collaborate across North America and the globe. Drive innovation within the practice to stay ahead of client needs and differentiate ERM in the market.
  • Work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment to build ERM's global business and lead client and practice teams, leveraging all of ERM to provide integrated solutions.
  • Meet business financial targets, project budgets and schedules, client satisfaction / expectations, and internal / contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, engineering, science, business, or related discipline; advanced degrees preferred.
  • 15+ years' progressive experience in a consulting environment, working with corporate legal clients; proven track record with Fortune 500 firms across sectors such as oil and gas, chemical, mining, power, infrastructure, technology, and / or manufacturing.
  • Strong business acumen to understand risk and opportunities in the market.
  • Proven track record in delivering multimillion-dollar sales results annually, including winning large and strategic portfolios.
  • Well-versed in CS&CC with a focus on climate strategy and climate-related services.
  • Established technical expertise and reputation in the local marketplace.

  • The salary range for this position is $181,000 to $244,000, depending on experience, location, specialized skills, and expected contributions to the role.
