Job Description

What You Will Be Doing :

Prepares food for daily lunch and dinner meal periods

Serves prepared food to employees

Has strong knowledge of properly storing, rotating and maintaining products

The ability to check and complete mise en place

Ensures cafe is kept stocked with ice and sodas

Ensure the cafe has an adequate amount of food for each service period

Ensures Cafe food is flavorful and healthy

Assists to ensure cafe in a clean and organized manner

Assists to ensures tables are clean and stocked with napkins and condiments

Remains in the cafe during peak hours to ensure a clean and full buffet

Work with the Chef team to minimize food waste and support sustainability initiatives

Carry out any other duties as may be assigned

Qualifications

Your Skills and Qualifications :

Previous Culinary experience is required; within banquets is an asset

The ability to learn correct station set up, cooking techniques and cleaning routines.

Constantly checks quality and quantities of mise en place.

Is a team player and willing to help when and wherever needed.

Able to work with cooks on maintaining walk-ins and shared areas

Excellent interpersonal skills, and able to communicate clearly

All tasks are completed with 100% attention to detail

Must have at least basic knife skills

Must be flexible and willing to work in all areas of the kitchen

This position requires open availability, including weekends and holidays
