About This Position :

We are seeking Junior Engineers (0-2 years of experience) to complement existing engineering staff in our Traffic group.

Responsibilities may include : field work, traffic engineering and analysis of roadways and signals, design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d, preparing construction drawings and documents, field observation for adherence to construction plans and specifications, report writing and cost estimating. Proficiency with either AutoCAD or Microstation, Inroads, AutoTurn, Synchro, Vissim and GIS software a plus, but not required .

Engineers I / II evaluate, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform a task or sequence of tasks for conventional types of plans, investigations, or surveys with relatively few complex features under the general guidance of a Project Engineer or Project Manager. Work on small projects or portions of larger projects. Typical projects include traffic signal design, long range transportation planning, and traffic impact studies .

Job Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET / EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent.

Pay Range :

Albany and Syracuse : $31.50 / hour - $39 / hour

Poughkeepsie : $32 / hour - $41 / hour

Westchester - White Plains : $32.50 / hour - $45 / hour

Pay is based on applicant's ability / experience and will be rated accordingly.
