Position Summary : The Program Assistant will assist the Corps Officer or Community Center Director in implementing, conducting and supervising the Community Center programs for children and adults which will benefit their emotional, physical and spiritual health.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Assist community center programming in implementing, conducting and supervising programs which would include seasonal programming such as pickleball, basketball, summer camps, afterschool programs, archery, dances and other special events
- Assist with setting up and taking down equipment, such as tables, chairs, sporting equipment and other items as needed
- Enforces facility safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Oversee building rental schedule, collecting required documents and receiving payments
- Maintain order in the Community Center by enforcing rules relating to conduct and the use of equipment and facilities
- Responsible for recording and reporting stats, monthly
- May be responsible for opening and closing the building as needed
- Responsible for regular cleaning and maintaining the facility when used for programming
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Education / Experience :
Minimum of High School diploma / GED desired, or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesTraining and / or education experience in leading sports programs, youth programming, and / or youth ministry preferredMust be at least 16 years oldSkills, Knowledge & Abilities :
