Starting Pay range : $24-32 DOE
Duties
Perform preliminary patient work-up including history taking and visual acuity measurements and refractingAssist ophthalmologists with diagnostic testing such as OCTs and visual field testingAdminister eye medications as directed by physiciansEducate patients on proper eye care procedures and post-operative instructionsMaintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health recordsExperience
Previous experience in ophthalmology or optometry clinic is preferredFamiliarity with anatomy and physiology of the eyeKnowledge of aseptic techniques for maintaining a sterile environmentProficiency in utilizing electronic health record systemsWe are seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist ophthalmologists in providing eye care services to patients. This role requires a blend of technical skills and patient care expertise.
