Chief Engineer
Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all mechanical systems and equipment. This includes but is not limited to : chillers, cooling towers, fans, boilers, pumps, heat exchangers, ancillary support equipment, water treatment, controls and BMS / EMS.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities :
- Perform maintenance and repairs to all mechanical equipment and systems.
- Conduct building tours, maintain equipment loss, and report deficiencies for corrective action.
- Respond to all HVAC trouble calls and troubleshoot the systems to meet the critical specifications of all Data Centers and critical environments as well as operational and comfort needs of the building(s) occupants, where applicable.
- Be proficient in the functionality of the BMS / EMS and understand the sequences required for proper building, equipment and system operations.
- Work with engineers, contractors and consultants in evaluating the proper operation of the building systems.
- Maintain a professional, safe and clean environment.
- Troubleshoot HVAC equipment and controls to determine problems and perform necessary repairs.
- Maintain HVAC equipment on an ongoing basis as part of the facilities preventive maintenance program.
- Perform other related duties as assigned, assisting other tradesmen, and emergency repairs.
- Adhere to established HVAC work order preventive maintenance schedule.
- Completes work in accordance with C&W Services Business Systems Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
- Create and maintain all operational SOPs for site specific equipment and systems.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Education and / or Experience) :
Ten years' Experience operating central plant; Steam and ChillersExperience working with pneumatic controls requiredExperience working with capital construction projects.Minimum of Ten years field experience in downtown class A office towersEducation or training in HVAC, refrigeration and controlsMassachusetts Refrigeration Technician LicenseProficient with Microsoft Office.Strong writing skills required.Physical Requirements :

The compensation for the position is : $49.30 - $58.00
