What are the ongoing responsibilities of a GFI Portfolio Construction Specialist?
Serve as the quantitative sector specialist for Emerging Markets fixed income asset class, including local rates and FX and sovereign debt.
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
Requires Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering or a directly related field and three (3) years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst or related occupation.
Prior experience must include the below skills / tools :
Requires (2) years of experience -
In advanced quantitative methods including time-series analysis, optimization, stochastic processes, econometrics, algorithms;
Associated computational methods for their practical implementation, including simulation and advanced Monte Carlo methods;
Machine learning methodologies, and in manipulating large datasets;
Leveraging Python, R, Matlab, VBA, and SQL;
Utilizing Pandas, Numpy, PySpark, Scikit-Learn, Statsmodel, Cvxopt, and tidyr;
Conducting IDEs including Jupyter, Spyder, Databricks, RStudio, Matlab, Excel, and SQL Developer; and
Object-oriented programming and work and design classes for use by other users.
