Job Summary :
The Lead Technician will oversee maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs of equipment. You will ensure mechanical interventions are performed accurately, safely, and on schedule. This role requires both workshop and field work, maintaining high-quality service standards for customers.
Key Responsibilities :
Scheduling & Compliance : Coordinate and monitor workshop tasks, ensuring quality, safety, and operational priorities are met. Address HR and diagnostic issues as needed.
Maintenance & Repairs : Perform mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic repairs and maintenance following specifications and proper documentation.
Diagnostics & Problem Solving : Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement safe, effective solutions.
Inspections & Compliance : Conduct inspections, document results, and ensure equipment meets mechanical, electrical, and safety standards.
Customer Communication : Provide updates to service advisors or departments, manage parts returns, and support inventory tracking.
Safety & Productivity : Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while adhering to all safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Customer Representation & Logistics : Deliver professional service on-site, communicate effectively, document interventions, and maintain service vehicles.
General Duties : Accurately record worked hours and perform all other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
Advanced English required; basic Spanish is a plus.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Diploma in Heavy Equipment Mechanics, Agricultural Mechanics, Electromechanics, or related field.
Relevant experience in equipment repair and maintenance (aerial work platforms, scissor lifts, telescopic forklifts, or similar).
Experience in hydraulic and electrical diagnostics is a strong asset.
Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical principles.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical / electrical diagrams and use diagnostic tools.
Strong communication skills and professionalism.
Ability to work independently, solve problems, and prioritize work efficiently.
Team-oriented, reliable, detail-focused, safety-conscious, and adaptable under pressure.
Proficiency in company IT tools, including tablets and ERP systems.
