Heidelberg Press Operator - 1st shift

Summary : The Press Operator is responsible for the setup, efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Heidelberg QM-46 / 2 color press, ensuring high-quality, high-volume, and on-time production while supervising and supporting the feeder.

Schedule : 1st Shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5 : 00 AM – 1 : 30 PM, or similar.  This is an in-person position. Training may occur at other times.

Salary Range :  $19.00 To 22.00 Hourly

Compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following :

• Setup, configure, and operate the sheet feed press to produce high quality print products
• Follows the job scheduling system to view press schedule and identify priority jobs to be completed
• Examine job orders to determine the quantity to be printed, stock specifications, color(s) and special printing instructions
• Lead and direct assistant operator, including on the job training and mentor junior colleagues
• Ensure Press Crew prepares Press Machine for the next job once current job is complete
• Monitor Press Cycle and performance, ensuring optimum press performance and job quantity reporting along, with defect and quality checks
• Maintain and troubleshoot machine making basic repairs as needed according to schedule
• Communicate effectively with contract vendors, including Heidelberg and Komori, to coordinate service, support, and equipment needs.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
• Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
• Attend all department / company meetings
• Other duties as assigned
