As a 1099 orthopedic surgeon, you will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment / prevention plan for patients with work-related injuries. You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiropractors, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You’ll also collaborate with employers in active case management.

Responsibilities
- Examining patients to expertly diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems from work-related injuries.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, and surgical interventions when necessary.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Treat fractures and musculoskeletal conditions through injections, electrodiagnostic, and other therapeutic interventions.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients about their conditions and the rehabilitation process.
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted medical license in the state where employed.Board certified or eligible in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice.Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.DEA required.BLS and AED Certified; ACLS Certified, preferred.Current Medical Malpractice Insurance coverage.Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Background in occupational medicine, orthopedics, or outpatient setting is preferred.Benefits
