Job Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and programs in line with organizational goals.

Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

Provide training and resources to employees on health and safety best practices to ensure compliance and awareness.

Monitor health and safety performance metrics, preparing reports for management and recommending improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate health and safety practices into daily operations.

Stay current with local, national, and international health and safety regulations and best practices.

Serve as the primary contact for health and safety inquiries and represent the organization in regulatory discussions.

Manage and mentor health and safety team members to align with organizational goals and compliance requirements.

Promote employee wellness initiatives to enhance overall workplace health.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Proven ability to conduct effective risk assessments and safety audits.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to risk management.

Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
