ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Denver, Colorado.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - PCU

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 00 AM
  • Multi-trauma Progressive Care Unit (Step-Down Unit) assignment
  • Patient ratio of 1 : 4 with charge nurse free of patients (estimated ratios, not guaranteed)
  • Work with highly acute trauma patients including stable vented / trached patients
  • Must be able to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction
  • Required certification : BLS
  • Preferred certification : ACLS
  • Equipment used includes vents, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction, and chest tubes
  • EMR system : Meditech
  • Typical procedures include chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
  • Work with a team of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2 techs on night shift
  • Team-player personality with ability to handle challenging, highly acute patient population
  • Located on 10th floor of facility

    This Level 1 trauma center features a 20-bed Progressive Care Unit specializing in multi-trauma patients and complex medical cases. The facility is known for its highly motivated nursing teams, supportive charge nurses, and excellent tech support available on both day and night shifts. The organization maintains wonderful physician relationships and provides care for highly complex and interesting trauma patients in a collaborative team environment.
