The nurse will also care for well newborns at delivery and during the transition period. Experience in a NICU setting is mandatory for this role, and the ability to manage ventilators and start IVs is required. Weekend coverage every other weekend is necessary for this position. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. The daily average census is 3 patients with a total of 6 beds in the unit. The nurse will be expected to float between facilities as needed. Candidates must have supervisory references from the last two years. Every other weekend coverage is mandatory. References are preferred at the time of submission. Candidates will float within the service line when necessary. Experience with specific charting systems is required. All travelers must adhere to the compliance policy, including fit testing for facial hair. No local candidates are accepted within a defined radius.
