Summary

The Construction Accounting Coordinator supports the accounting and operations teams by managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate job cost records, and ensuring compliance with TxDOT and company standards. This role provides critical support in billing, cost tracking, reporting, and project coordination to help deliver timely and accurate financial information for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Transactional Support

• Enter and code vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expenses to appropriate job or project codes.
• Collect, review, and post timecards for field and project personnel.
• Maintain daily cost entries in the accounting or ERP system for materials, rentals, subcontractors, and equipment usage.
• Ensure accurate AP / AR postings tied to TxDOT contracts, change orders, and work authorizations.
